KYIV – LVIV   - Two pearls of Ukraine

Day 1: Kyiv – Arrive in Kyiv. Go on a guided bus tour of the Golden-Domed capital of Ukraine directly from the airport. See St.Sophiya Cathedral – the main church of Kyiv Rus (XI c), the Golden Gates, St.Volodymyr Church, completely restored St.Mykhailo monastery and Rastrelli's masterpiece - St. Andrew's Church. Hotel check in. Lunch (optional). Free time for souvenir shopping or walk down the main Kyiv street – Khreschatyk. Welcome dinner will await you at a national Ukrainian restaurant with live music and local cuisine.
Day 2: Kyiv - After breakfast, go for an excursion to a “must see” in Kyiv - “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” Cave Monastery, an Orthodox center of Ukraine since XI c. Tour of the monastery grounds, caves, the Trinity Church, bell tower and a visit to the Museum of Ukrainian Folk Art and Ukrainian Museum of Historical Treasures. Lunch at the typical Kyiv restaurant “Pervak” will be organized upon your request (optional). After lunch we welcome you to a walk down the most ancient cobblestone street of Andriyivskyy Uzviz - the "Montmatre of Kyiv - and Podil district. You will have free time for souvenir shopping, visit private galleries and different craft shops.
Dinner (on your own) in the city center. In the evening we invite you to the theatre or concert, if available (optional).
Day 3: Kyiv - After early breakfast and hotel check out, start on a bus tour to Chernihiv (150 km), one of the ancient cities of Europe. Take a city tour around Chernihiv, visiting Antoniy Caves with earth (XII cent.) and stone (XVII cent.) churches; Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral (1st half XI cent.) - the main cathedral of Chernihiv; Borisoglebsky Cathedral (XII cent.) - the prince's church, Svyatoslavichy burial-vault; Troitsky Cathedral (XVII cent.) - member's of higher orders of Chernihiv clergy cathedral; Optional: Chernihiv Collegium (XVIII cent.) - the first high school on the left-bank Ukraine. Cathedral belfry gives an opportunity to observe a wonderful panorama of the city. After lunch break and some free time in the city center, you return to Kyiv. Dinner awaits you in Kyiv. After dinner departure for the railway station to take an overnight train to Lviv.
Day 4: Lviv - Early arrival to Lviv. Pick up at the railway station. Hotel check in and breakfast at the hotel. Bus tour around the city - become familiar with the history, culture and scientific life of Lviv. Take a look at the architectural monuments of the XIV-XX centuries - the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", the National I.Franko University, St.George's Cathedral, see the spectacular panoramic view of the city from High Castle Hill. Lunch at hotel "Grand". A trip to the open-air Museum of Folk Architecture - take a look at the ancient wooden architecture: old mills, farmsteads and churches. Dinner at a typical Lviv restaurant (on your own). After dinner you can stroll along Night Lviv visiting interesting Lviv cafes and restaurants: “Kryyivka” – imitation of the World War National Partisans Secret place, “At Mazokh” – a restaurant of aphrodisiac food, “Golden Rose” – Jewish food restaurant with the possibility to bargain about the prices, “Dim kavy” – coffee shop with the great choice of coffee sorts from all over the world, “Tsukenya” and “Veronika” – best places to taste delicious typical Lviv bakery and pastry, “Zolotyy Dukat” – a meeting point with the ghosts and many other places which will definitely entertain you in Lviv.
Day 5: Lviv - After breakfast go on a walking tour around medieval city. A visit to the Boim’s chapel, the Pharmacy Museum, Latin Cathedral, mystic murals of the Armenian church, Orthodox church, Italian Courtyard and Royal Parlors of the History Museum. Lunch will be served at the hotel or in the city center (optional). After lunch you are invited to visit the Ukrainian National Museum (exhibitions of icons and applied art). Free time in the city center. You will have time to visit local antique shops or buy souvenir at the open-air market with local crafts (wood-carving, embroidery, paintings, ceramics, etc). Dinner at the hotel restaurant. In the evening we welcome you for a performance to the Opera House, if available (optional).
Day 6: Lviv - After early breakfast start on a trip to the old town of Zhovkva (a beautiful town from XVIth c., the former residence of the Polish King Jan III Sobeski) and Krekhiv Monastery of St. Basil's order from XVIIth c. Walk to the Holy Spring and enjoy the beautiful nature of the Ukrainian countryside. Lunch during the tour (optional). Return to Lviv. Free time in the city centre. Farewell dinner in the restaurant. Entertainment program (optional).
Day 7: Breakfast. Hotel check out. Departure for homeland.
